We’re at the half-way point of the National Restaurant Association (NRA) Show in Chicago, and we’ve been blown away by some of the great companies we’ve been seeing!  There are some people doing some pretty awesome stuff to make the lives of restaurant owners just a little bit easier.  It’s tough to choose just a few companies to recommend you visit if you’re at the show, but here’s our list of 5 companies to watch out for.
OpenTable
These guys are working with over 32,000 restaurants in 6 countries, allowing them to take reservations 24/7. Â Their marketing functions mean that restauranteurs can focus on filling tables, and their simplification of front of house activities promise a better experience, both for staff and for customers.
Clover
First Data’s Clover replaces your cash register, payment terminal, receipt printer, and barcode scanner with one neat system.  Clever reporting and a great UI means that you can see where your sales are at while you’re on the move.  We think their hardware looks pretty awesome too, so this might be one for restaurants with an eye on design to check out.
GrubHub
GrubHub’s online and mobile ordering platforms allow diners to select from the menus of 35,000 restaurants across a whopping 900 US cities, as well as in Bizimply’s closer neigbour, London in the UK.  They process 172,000 orders daily so, if you want to get your menu in front of the hungry masses, they’ve got it covered.
LevelUp
For restauranteurs looking for a payments solution, LevelUp can process payments on iPhone, Android and Windows Phone. Â As well as handling payments, their system offers analytics, and the ability to run loyalty and rewards programs. Â With 14,000 customers, and 1.5 million mobile users, these guys are getting lots of attention!
Swipely
Offering a great customer experience is all about understanding your customers. Â Swipely has a solution for the restaurant business that allows you to better understand your customers by collating all your POS, sales and customer data in one place. Â Segment your customers, and understand which marketing efforts are best at attracting new customers.
