We have recently talked to Hotel Operations Manager, Phil Roberts to learn about Formby Hall’s success since implementing Bizimply as their hotel’s people & operations management system.

What made Formby Hall choose Bizimply?

The main reason we moved is that the previous time and attendance system we were using didn’t generate the reports that Bizimply can.

It was quite frustrating not having that visibility, but now we can easily export reports around monetary values.

What was the most obvious benefit when you started with Bizimply?

The important thing initially was being able to see the rota cost as a monetary value. It allowed us to be able to gauge whether we were going to be understaffed or overstaffed.

Secondarily was how helpful and simple to understand the timecards were and how they allowed us to make comparisons between scheduled and actual shifts.

How much time have you been able to save?

To process payroll now takes 3 days instead of 5 days (40% less time).

How has it helped shift reporting?

It’s helped a lot. The posting of the rota feature is great. Once the rotas are on Bizimply they get emailed to every member of staff, which is a great tool.

Previously, for staff to access their rota, they had to either check a word document on the wall or be sent a picture through WhatsApp.

The camera feature of the Timestation is a great security feature and allows us to be sure that the person clocking is is actually the right person scheduled.

What is your favourite feature of Bizimply?

I can’t say I have a favourite as there are quite a few features I’m getting a lot out of!

The scheduling feature is so simple to use, the timecard is extremely user friendly, and exporting rotas is such a speedy process now.

What would you say to other hotels thinking of using Bizimply?

I would recommend they try it. Bizimply ticks all the boxes that we need and has effectively sped up the efficiencies across the resort. It’s a great system.
