Visitors to the Casual Dining Show are being offered the opportunity to raise their game in one of the trickiest areas currently facing the hospitality industry, as workforce management specialist Bizimply launches its Labour Scheduling Masterclass.

With the sector facing an across-the-board challenge in terms of skills and employee numbers, Bizimply’s specialist will offer practical advice and examples which demonstrate the benefits of using a little science to support the manager’s art of ensuring the best people, with the right skills, are always where they are most needed.

The short-and-sharp half hour Masterclass will be supported with a free copy of Bizimply’s new e-book ‘The Ultimate Guide To Hospitality Scheduling’.

Conor Shaw, CEO of Bizimply, said: “Workforce scheduling should be a core skill of every hospitality manager, but there’s no need to make it harder going than it needs to be. Using workforce management technology and following best practice frees up valuable time as well as giving real-time data about the business and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation.

“The labour shortage isn’t going away any time soon, and will be one of the biggest challenges hospitality faces for some time to come. Operators need to arm themselves with the best possible tools to ensure they always have their best people where they can be most effective in delivering customer service – and that includes freeing up managers from back-office bureaucracy.”

The masterclass will also highlight some of Bizimply’s latest features such as the Attendance Questionnaire, which was added as hospitality reopened after lockdown and allows operators to ask team members health-related and other questions on-screen as they clock on for their shift.

Bizimply estimates GMs can spend up to six hours a week creating a staff rota using Excel or similar, which is time when they are not front of house managing the business. Equipping them with the right software to produce rotas and payroll quickly gives this time back. One operator using Bizimply software is now creating rotas for 60 team members, across five sites, in just one hour a week.

The Casual Dining Show takes place at Excel, London on 23 – 24 September., Visitors can book a place on the Bizimply Labour Scheduling Masterclass in advance by emailing support@Bizimply.com or at the show by visiting the Bizimply stand C45.
